I have downloaded the free trial of Filter Gate and let me just say that it is brilliant! It blocks restricted websites and does not show them unlike other filtering software I have tried and it even blocks keyword searches and that is something most other
filtering software doesn't do. It is so easy to use and I will never again have to worry about what my children are looking at on the internet. Many thanks! Sean

I've owned filtergate since the earliest versions. I don't even remember the original version number but I believe my
e-mail at the time was fjmurray@mindspring.com. That's long dormant and I've changed e-mails and computers more than a few times since then and am now retired. But Filtergate continues to support my
subscription at no additional cost, furnishing the proper new code for every upgrade or new machine or new e-mail (I've now got 5.21.), and blocking almost everything I don't want. Since the last reset, my current version counter says it has blocked 205,344 items -- ads, pop-ups, what have
you. Good riddance to them all.. And thank you all. Frank, Cape Coral, Fla.

Friendly Note: I emailed you because your website did not trumpet the fact that your software can specifically restrict employee surfing to allowed only urls (nor did any of your competitors). My searches (about 20 minutes) came up empty - almost everything
is from a parental angle with a blocking list (as opposed to an allowed list). Maybe it would be good to re-skin your offering and angle the marketing pitch to SOHO businesses, loudly saying things like "restrict employee browsing to allowed-only urls" or "stop employee surfing."

I have been meaning to let you know, that I have been very happy with FilterGate for the several years I have been using it. You stay on top of software issues, and the frequent automatic filter updates give me peace of mind. My kids do research on the internet for school
projects and I know FilterGate well enough to allow that to be done without supervision. The times I have tried to challenge the filters with searches have impressed me, I have not found vulnerabilities that scare me nor do I feel that it over-filters and removes significant material that's
wanted. The pop-up blocker is great, I have come to depend on it. You should be proud for creating a product that actually works like it's supposed to. I recommend it to others whenever the subject comes up, which is frequently as I maintain PCs for friends and several small businesses.

Glad to see
you've worked on blocking the task manager in windows xp. I've looked and
demoed alot of different web filters. Your is one of the best i've come
across. The updates for new versions and filter packs cant be beat.

Works great! Keep up the good work! Your filter by
far is the best out there. I'm in position to speak, I have tried about
everyone out there for Windows. Your support has always been quick to
respond and your not out charging $50 a year for your program. Not only
that but you program is fast and is easy to custom for your needs. Thanks.

Wow, to be honest I
wasn't really even expecting a response, and at most I expected just an
automated reply. However your personal attention to this has been a
pleasant surprise, and I can say I'm very satisfied with my purchase of
your software. I downloaded ad-aware and indeed there was quite a bit of
spyware. I also downloaded and installed the beta.

Pros: I decided to hold off on rating this until I had a chance to test it. I beat the ***** out of this program and it works great!
Typically applications of this type are either blamed for blocking too much or not enough. The reality is that there is no silver bullet to block smut and pop-ups. It's up to you to determine which is more important; protecting your kids and doing a little more work to find information or
continue to expose them and yourself to the filth. If you want to dramatically reduce/eliminate smut and junk that you encounter while browsing the web then this is the application to do it. It does an awesome job at removing porn and is very clever at preventing advanced users from attempting
to bypass it's protection.
Cons: None at this time.
best ad blocker out there!

Pros: blocks flash ads, popups and banner ads in a smart way, not heavy on the system, leavs no trace of the ads (some programs leave a small x or window), gets most of the ads, ad database updateble. Cons: no option to manualy add an ad by right clicking and pressing add to
database, only uses included database, can't add manually

Pros: This is a great program for anyone who who has kids that access the internet. It is really easy to set up and use, and you can also use it to block hotmail / messenger etc. when the kids should be doing their homework ! As well as blocking ads, pornography etc, you can add ( or
remove ) the address of any website you want to block / unblock - all you need is a password that the kids won't figure out ! I highly recommend this program. Cons: sometimes it seems to block pages that seem to be safe / OK, but you can easily over-ride this, and un-block the page.

I don't know where to begin... FilterGate really does filter out the Ads
pretty well, you don't know what you're missing until you try it. the
feeling of surfing the net without ads is really a very nice one :)

this program will block every thing if u so want it to , it works realy
good took me aprox an hour to get used to setting things up , sure beats
those porn sites and makes web surfing pleasent again , plus i found i
have complete control over what the program blocks and dont block ,
reccomend to try it for yourself and have some patience in setting it up
, once thats done happy surfin again . |

make your online life miserable try FILTERGATE.trust me..it's the only

I was looking for something that would allow my 12-year-old
granddaughter to fully use the Web while protecting her from
inappropriate sites and images. Also, a block for popups. This works
great, is very adjustable and easy to use. |
